Our development team is made up of a group of dedicated professionals with a background in television, film, and theatre production. We're all very excited to bring this universe to life!

Cheramie Hopper

Cheramie is ecstatic to collaborate with such a talented group of filmmakers. She has a MFA in Directing from the University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance, and a BFA in Acting from the University of Louisiana - Lafayette.

Cheramie is production manager for The Landing Theatre, a Houston-based performance group.  She can be seen in the Landing’s upcoming production, Gambrels of the Sky, in August.

She has acted and directed and produced theatre around the country, but Crossing Darkness is her first foray into filmmaking.

Producer/Actress

Clinton Hopper

Clinton Hopper is a Houston-based educator and artist. His love of all things space is only out matched by his drive to tell compelling stories.

He serves in the administration of a high school not far from NASA’s Johnson Space Center, while also working as a theatrical director, writer and designer.

Clinton conceived of the original idea for Crossing Darkness, then had the foresight to involve his much more talented wife, Cheramie, as well as the genius Meek brothers.

Among many other projects at TPC, Thomas has held a writer/director role on the nationally broadcast Stop The Threat, since Season 2 in 2012, producing, writing, and directing (and shooting and editing) the dramatized reenactment segment of the show. Stop The Threat just wrapped post production on its 8th season and has won a People's Telly Award for every season so far.

Thomas also volunteeres to direct and stage manage some of the productions at Clear Creek Community Theatre (CCCT) with favorites being No Sex Please, We're British (director), The Tempest (Stage Manager), A Flea in Her Ear (Stage manager), A Christmas Carol (director), and Kiss Me Kate (Stage manager)

In the spare time away from TPC and CCCT, Thomas has also been writing, producing and directing some of his own original work along with some other writers, and currently has two short films in post production.
